Seed Swap Saturday, January 28 at noon

Saturday, January 28, noon–3:00 p.m., McGinness Room (snow date, February 4)

Join MLUC Child Care Coordinator Chelsea Brown to celebrate National Seed Swap Day. National Seed Swap Day is celebrated on the last Saturday in January to honor the U.S. tradition of swapping seeds with neighbors. The seeds can include locally saved seeds, excess store-bought seeds, seeds brought back from another region or country, or excess seeds that a seed company donated—you decide what you want to swap. Chelsea has a seed collection donated from Burpee, Ferry-Morse, and the Pennsylvania seed company Rohrer Seeds. If you have seeds to donate but can not attend this event you may drop them off in the office anytime. Look for the collection basket labeled Seed donations.
