Meditation is Daily Life; Daily Life is Meditation
You can sign up for an all day meditation retreat on Saturday, March 28th, 2020.
This day-long retreat will focus on navigating our digital age. The program will include sitting practice, a discussion of the relevance of meditation and mindfulness in our contemporary world, exploring meditative movement, and a focus on practicing gratitude. Details and signup page.
There are three regularly scheduled meditation groups at Main Line Unitarian Church.
Meditation I meets on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. and ends before the main service begins at 10 a.m. It includes a facilitated discussion followed a period of silent meditation.
Meditation II also meets on Sundays at 11:30 a.m., after the main service, and is a shared silent meditation.
Monday Meditation Study Group meets at 7 a.m. on Monday mornings. This is conducted as a discussion class, working through a different selected book, followed by a silent meditation. It is open to new participants at the beginning of each new book, in the spring or in the fall. Contact Katrina Olgiby for more information.
All-Levels Yoga – Committed to the spiritual health and growth of body, mind, and spirit, our yoga teachers welcome all, members and non-members alike, to join us Saturdays at 9:30 am for All-Levels Yoga. Class is designed to be appropriate for most fitness levels, and modifications will be offered. Connect with community members — increase resilience, strength, and flexibility — experience yoga as moving meditation. Our community class is donation-based, so pay as you wish! See the MLUC calendar for exact dates. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat if you have one. (Mats are available to borrow.)
The MLUC Labyrinth was constructed in 2018 as a service project by one of our small group ministries. The group included Jean Gaul, Linda Farr, Greg Gaul, Craig Farr, Steve McReynolds, Ingrid Deckman, Sue Drummond, Nina Selsor, Alan Silverman, Lee Dastur, Marian Caroselli, and John Mason.
