Main Line Unitarian Church is an active supporter of the visual and performing arts as a way to engage with our core values. Questions? Contact Co-Chairs, Kit Burns and David Hucker.

We hold Open Studio on the last Saturday morning of each month from 9:30 am -12:30 pm in the Fireside Room.  Artists, crafters and photographers are welcome to bring whatever they are working on.  Please bring all the materials you need.  Here is a chance to work and share with other creative people in the church.  Coffee and breakfast fare will be provided.

Current Exhibit

David Hucker’s nature photography exhibit, Seeing, is now in the Fireside Room. You can contribute to this show by attending one or both of David’s nature walk tutorials July 10 and July 17. Plans are to visit Jenkins Arboretum and David’s beautiful property. You will see nature in a whole new way!

Sunday, July 10 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m., Jenkins Arboretum, Devon
Sunday, July 17 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m., David’s property, Berwyn

Arborist David Hucker will talk about lighting and composing photographs and how to “see” the chosen subject. You will view nature is a whole new way! Be ready to hike and bring your own camera (preferable) or cell phone. E-mail David for more information and sign up in advance by e-mailing The Art Group.

After the photoshoot, participants will be invited to e-mail two of their photos to David, who will upload them to work with at our Open Studio on Saturday, July 30. When the photos have been enhanced, participants are encouraged to enlarge and frame their work, which will be added to the exhibit. The combined show will be up until October 16.
