“Art captures our attention and leads us to wonder.  Art invites us to consider our humanness and our connection with the Divine.  Art welcomes us into the profound dance with all that is our life.”  – Rev. Kimberley Debus, Unitarian minister, Tacoma Park MD.

The Art Group is a vibrant community that inspires creativity, self-expression and art appreciation in our congregation and beyond.

Our activities include:

  • Exhibitions in the Fireside Room.
  • Excursions to museums, studios and galleries.
  • Outreach to the community.
  • Open Studio – a monthly creative space where members and friends of the church are invited to work on and share their projects, media and craft.

Current Exhibit

Arborist David Hucker’s nature photography exhibit, Seeing, is now in the Fireside Room.  This includes photographs contributed by members from nature walks David led.  The exhibit will be available for viewing through October 20th.

Main Line Unitarian Church is an active supporter of the visual and performing arts as a way to engage with our core values. Questions? Contact Co-Chairs, Kit Burns and David Hucker.

We hold Open Studio on the last Saturday morning of each month from 9:30 am -12:30 pm in the Fireside Room.  Artists, crafters and photographers are welcome to bring whatever they are working on.  Please bring all the materials you need.  Here is a chance to work and share with other creative people in the church.  Coffee and breakfast fare will be provided.
