No In-Person Church Beginning This Sunday, March 15th

Dear MLUC members and friends,

Gov. Wolf has just issued an injunction to cancel all mass meetings in Montgomery County due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Since many of our members live in Montgomery Co., we think it would be best not to hold in-person worship services at MLUC at least through the end of March. (We will assess the situation for April as that time draws closer) Instead of gathering in person, we will still conduct our Sunday services online at their usual time, 10:00 am, which you may view livestream at https://mluc.org/worship-2/live-stream-worship/. Also, our services are archived on our church website a day or two afterwards at https://mluc.org/worship-2/past-worship-services/. You may access both links on our church webpage under the Worship tab.

After this Sunday’s service, we will hold a brief presentation of our plans of how we will stay connected as a congregation going forward. You can watch that presentation by continuing to view the livestream after the service ends. If you want to participate in the meeting interactively, you can join a Zoom meeting by clicking on the link below and following the instructions, or by calling 929-436-2866 and entering the meeting number 802 910 836.

Attending remote meetings and viewing events livestream are becoming more and more common these days, so hopefully having “remote” church, though different for us, will not feel too strange. If you need help with the technology, please call us. The important thing is that we stay connected, for as we say at the end of each service, “we’re all in this together.”

With love,

Neal
