Family Promise (formerly IHN) returning to MLUC in November

As the world begins to open up, MLUC will open our home to unhoused families the week of November 20th–26th. We are taking signups early to allow all dinner volunteers who interact with children to confirm that their child abuse clearances are up to date. If you do not have clearances, MLUC will help you obtain them. The process takes about 14 days.

During our hosting weeks, families arrive each evening at dinner time. Church members and their families make and serve dinners, spend time in the early evening with our visitors, or stay overnight at the church to be available in case of an emergency. Other volunteers serve as meal coordinator, shopper, set-up and clean-up, and laundry. There are typically two volunteers for each shift and you may sign up for more than one shift.
