Memorial Services Committee
From the first tender conversation to the moment the last guest leaves the building, the Memorial Services Committee is there to support families through loss. This year, the committee supported six memorial services at MLUC, honoring the lives of Arris Murphy, Guy Edwards, Marian Vallotton, Margaret Zehner, Nancy Day, and Cynthia Corboy. A whole team of ushers, greeters, microphone holders, and coordinators worked quietly behind the scenes to ensure friends and families felt deeply supported.
Looking forward, the committee is creating two new resources, including a memorial service pre-planning document. By allowing congregants to record their wishes in advance, this resource will serve as a genuine gift to families when the time comes.
