Candidate Petition Training

This training, offered by MLUC’s Social Justice Team, will introduce participants to Pennsylvania’s candidate petitioning process and explain how individuals can take part legally and effectively.
Because candidates must collect petition signatures in order to appear on the ballot — during the petitioning window of February 17 through March 10 — this training provides an early opportunity to understand how community members can help shape who voters will be able to choose in the 2026 election.
Participants will learn what petitioning involves, what the rules are, and what options exist for getting involved, including hosting a small signing gathering, collecting signatures door-to-door, or attending a local signing event in their community in coordination with the political party of their choice.
No prior experience is needed.
