Shibori Worshop

A fundraiser for MLUC, originally sold in the auction. 

Shibori is an ancient Japanese dye-resist technique creating intricate repeat patterns by folding, twisting, or otherwise manipulating textiles to achieve an immense variety of designs. Jean-Marie has worked with dyes and paints for over 40 years using ancient and modern techniques to come up with her own one of a kind designs. She has owned and operated her own Art Wearable business for many years doing shows and wholesaling to 25 high-end retailers around the country. She also works in oil paints on canvas and has created an Impasto technique that is truly her own. 

Each participant of the workshop will come home with two beautifully dyed high-quality silk scarves that are as unique and individual as their creators. 

All materials and tools are provided by Jean-Marie.
