One of golf’s four major championships arrives at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square May 11–17—just two miles from MLUC. With an estimated 200,000 spectators expected over the week and no on-site parking at Aronimink, traffic through the area could be significant.

Sunday, May 10, is unaffected. But two dates are worth flagging for MLUC folks specifically:

Wednesday, May 13 — Lecture Lunch (~noon): Competition rounds begin Thursday, but practice rounds run all week. Expect moderate traffic through Newtown Square at midday.

Sunday, May 17 — Sunday Service: This is the final round and almost certainly the highest-traffic day of the week. If your route takes you through Newtown Square, leave extra time.

Daily grounds hours for reference:

  • Monday–Wednesday (practice rounds): 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday–Friday: 6:15 a.m.–8 p.m.
  • Saturday–Sunday: 7:15 a.m.–8 p.m.
