Meeting real needs. Building real relationships.

The Human Needs Ministry is MLUC’s ongoing commitment to support neighbors facing housing insecurity, hunger, and economic hardship. This ministry grew out of the work of our Housing Justice Team and now serves as the long-term home for this effort.

We focus on practical support, strong partnerships, and hands-on service — meeting people where they are and responding to what communities tell us they need most.

What We Do

Our work centers on three core areas:

Shelter
Supporting Code Blue shelters and outreach efforts for neighbors experiencing homelessness, especially during extreme weather.

Food
Partnering with food pantries and community organizations to address hunger and food insecurity.

Clothing & Essentials
Providing seasonal clothing, hygiene supplies, and basic necessities.

As the ministry grows, we hope to expand into areas such as transportation, utilities, and health support.

How We Work

  • Builds long-term connections, not one-time fixes

Current and past partners include:

  • TLC for the People
  • Norristown Hospitality Center
  • Family Promise
  • Access Services
