by Yvette McDonnell, Congregational Life Coordinator and Ministerial Intern
I am excited to announce that our shared ministry Lay Chaplain program is up and running! Our Lay Chaplains have been thoughtfully selected, thoroughly trained, and officially commissioned. They are eager to build meaningful connections and offer support to the entire MLUC community.
Our Lay Chaplains—Tina Adams, Lloyd Cole, and Alan Scholl—are here to offer one-on-one conversations, a caring presence, and a listening ear. The Congregational Life Care Ministry team is guided by Unitarian Universalist principles, especially our commitment to the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We strive to embody compassion, respect, and support for all. Whether you’re facing stress, health issues, or life’s everyday challenges, our team offers kindness and confidentiality, grounded in our faith tradition.
If you or someone you know would benefit from a caring companion, don’t hesitate to contact the Congregational Life Care Ministry Team, where love is at the center of all we do. I will connect you with a member of our team within 48 hours or sooner. To request support, just fill out the Pastoral Care Request Form.
