The Blessed Remembered service on Sunday, Nov. 2 will include building an altar of memory as a congregation. Part of how we will do this is by setting up stations around the room to allow participants engage their senses in remembering loved ones who have died. Would you like to bring/set up the materials for one of our stations and/or staff the station during the service?

We are looking for volunteers who might:

  • bring spices and set them up for people to choose from (smell/taste)
  • bring flowers and set them out for people to choose from (smell/sight)
  • set up a drawing station with paper and drawing materials we have for people to use to draw (imagination)
  • set up a writing station with paper and pencils and pens we provide for people to use to write stories or names (imagination)
  • staff a station where you help people print photos they have on their personal devices to the office printer (sight)

Please contact Dawn Star Sarahs-Borchelt, director of learning and family ministries, by Oct. 26 if you’re able to help.
