The Franklin Quartet: LINNEA BOREALIS
Sunday, September 14 at 3:00 PM — 4:30 PM

Named after the arctic flower Linnea borealis, this program showcases rarely performed 18th- and 19th-century Swedish quartet masterpieces by Amanda Maier-Röntgen, Joseph Martin Kraus, and Franz Berwald. Curated by Franklin Quartet’s Finnish violinist Marika Holmqvist, the concert traces historical connections between the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, his student Peter Kalm, and Benjamin Franklin.
