Weekly Grounding for Healing & Wellness

Event Series (See All)

Your personal wellness is directly connected to our communal well-being. Our capacity to be present in our relationships and communities is enhanced when we have tended to our own souls. This requires commitment and care, especially in these times of increasing trauma, loneliness, and division in our communities and tumult in our shared ecosystems. We  believe that the remedy is the intentional practice of inquiring into our own souls, dealing responsibly with heartbreak and grief, and centering deep listening in the building of healthy relationships and communities.

Join us and be part of our shared ministry with the Weekly Grounding Circle, which will provide you with the centering you need to start your week, offering a sense of gratitude, centering amidst the changing aspects of life.

How It Works

Time Frame: Oct. 6, 2025 through Jan. 1, 2026

Monday morning: You will receive a poem in your email inbox

Thursday evening, a drop-in circle: 7–8 p.m. EST on Zoom

Questions?Contact Yvette McDonnell, Congregational Life Coordinator and Ministerial Intern

Communal Wellness: Thursday evening, join an online community of practice at 7 p.m. EST on Zoom, to dig deeper into the insights you are holding and to learn from each other. During the hour, we will make room for our bodies to arrive, read the week’s poem, reflect on what it opens in us, share thoughts with one or two others, and close the hour with new awareness in the spirit of collective care. Being in a community reminds us that we are part of a whole and that others are also actively integrating practices to live without UU values.

Personal Wellness: Each Monday, you’ll receive an early-morning email message to support you in tending to the many aspects of personal wellness with a poem or song with a few touchstone reflection questions. You are invited to take time to reflect and realign your heart at the start of the week, focusing on the arisings of your soul relative to the weekly content.
