The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year, and it’s almost here! As summer unfolds, we think of sunshine, vacations, cookouts, beach days, and evenings around a campfire with toasted marshmallows. The scents of fresh herbs also fill the air, reminding us of nature’s gifts and strength. Lately, mint has been especially abundant—peppermint, spearmint, applemint, chocolate mint, and more. Mint is a perfect summer companion, offering cool refreshment, digestive ease, and clarity.
Invite mint into your life—toss it into green or fruit salads, or simply enjoy a calming moment by inhaling its scent in a warm cup of tea. While mint is abundant, gather and bundle the sprigs, then hang them upside down in a breezy spot to dry for the winter months.
Wishing you all a joyful summer filled with sunshine, fresh flavors, and the simple pleasures of nature. May the season’s abundance of vibrant herbs bring you delight and inspiration all summer long.
