by Music Director David Brown

Back by popular demand, Colum Bunderson returns to the chancel for a Sunday morning of Irish fiddling! At only 13 years old, Colum is the youngest member of the MLUC Music Committee, and a superlative Irish fiddler with a vast repertoire of jigs, reels, hornpipes, and airs.

I’ll be bringing my fiddle, mandocello, and guitar to back him up as we play traditional tunes, including “Rolling in the Rye Grass,” “The Wind that Shakes the Barley,” “The Mountain Road,” “The Little Diamond,” “The Rattlin’ Bog,” “Off to California,” “The Home Ruler,” and Ireland’s most influential composer Turlough O’Carolan’s spellbinding “O’Carolan’s Concerto.”

Together we will sing hymns #1035: “Freedom Is Coming” and #324: “Where My Free Spirit Onward Leads.”
