The first half of the program will include American Folk Settings by Steven Mark Kohn and a premier performance of Plenty of Time Together by Michael Chadwick\, with settings of poetry by Ogden Nash. The second half will be a performance of Georgy Sviridov’s epic song cycle Russia Cast Adrift\, which set twelve poems by Sergei Esenin in a journey exploring pastoral Russia\, orthodoxy and mysticism\, and anti-soviet implications.
