Singing Your Song

Singing Your Song is a metaphor from August Wilson’s great play, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. Wilson wrote a series of plays set in each decade of the century, in which he used the particular experiences of African Americans to help us all get at universal questions. In this play, a traveller who has lost everything begins the journey home to his soul.
