The Care Ministry Team is led by our Congregational Life Coordinator and supported by Lay Chaplains who are volunteers who provide individual conversations and support through reflective listening and non-judgmental presence. Lay Chaplains are compassionate souls who provide a confidential level of support to people who are facing life challenges.
The Care Ministry Team is rooted in the concept of shared ministry. It means sharing leadership by transcending hierarchies, and rethinking traditional divisions among the roles of ministers, religious educators, music ministers, lay leaders, and others. Shared ministry is an approach—collaborative, interconnected, less strictly hierarchical—that lives into the faith’s highest values
