BEING A UU
Pathway to Membership Class
April 27: 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Joining a church is an important life decision, and one we take seriously. Membership at MLUC means being a part of a diverse community of UUs who practice their faith in myriad meaningful ways. Please consider joining us for one of two sessions this year that will start you on your way toward getting to know this welcoming, active and caring community. Each session meets twice and covers the topics of UU history, Social Justice activities, volunteer opportunities, learning and spiritual growth programs for children and adults and much more. There will be time to get to know staff, volunteer church leaders and each other during this process of discovery. Participant will be paired with a Member Mentor who will serve as a guide through the exploration process. Email Membership Coordinator Jessica Hirsch Lynn to register.
Our Seven UU Principles - A Closer Look
Wednesdays, March 20 and 27 and April 3, 7:00-9:00 p.m., led by Rev. Hunter
What are the implications of our seven principles? Would you change any? Remove any? Add new ones? How well do they define who we are? Rev. Hunter studied philosophy at Princeton University and holds degrees from Harvard Law School and Wesley Theological Seminary. He was a civil rights lawyer for 33 years before beginning his second career in UU ministry. Dave and his wife, Rev. Kerry Mueller are MLUC members and semi-retired UU ministers now serving the UU Fellowship of Pottstown part-time. Rev. Hunter has led a number of adult faith development classes for MLUC and other UU congregations. Register
